There is a saying that states, "Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach." This is not the case for Postural Bodyworks Institute.
Neither brilliance nor luck brought PBI to life; it was hard work and dedication that built the program. The co-founders and instructors of PBI, Anthony Allegro and Jacob Laputka, have a combined 23 years of experience in the industry, as well as running a successful massage therapy business in Montgomery, Alabama for more than 10 years. Both Anthony and Jacob have earned a reputation as experts in massage therapy, with a referral network of medical and athletic professionals that often keep their schedules booked up to 4 weeks in advance.
Please take a minute to find out whom your teachers would be:
Jacob Laputka, LMT, CKTP, BCTMB (Instructor)
Jacob began his massage therapy education in 2006 by attending the Utah College of Massage Therapy, graduating from their professional program at the top of his class with honors. After completing his initial education to enter the field of massage therapy, Jacob attended the Utah College of Massage Therapy’s master bodyworker program in early 2007, again graduating at the top of his class with honors. With an education that was heavily focused in orthopedic massage treatment, sports therapy, neuromuscular therapy and myofascial release, Jacob continued to further his background by completing a course in the Ten Sessions of Structural Integration at the end of 2007.
In early 2008 Jacob took an opportunity to solidify his future in the field of massage therapy and bodywork by moving to Montgomery, AL and practicing advanced therapy methods in an area that was just beginning to experience growth in the industry. Now after more than 8 years of successfully practicing advanced bodywork and building a respectable reputation as a leading expert in his field, Jacob has helped co-found Postural Bodyworks Institute, where he serves as the Director of Education and one of the lead instructors. Jacob developed and produced many of the advanced bodywork classes offered at Postural Bodyworks Institute and is continuing to make strides in advancing the field of both massage and bodywork therapy.
Anthony Allegro, LMT (Instructor)
Graduated from massage school in 2000. Anthony is certified in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Orthopedic Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Anatomy Trains, Cranial Sacral Therapy, and Myofascial Release. He has been specialized in Manual Therapy and Bodywork for the last 10 years. To reinforce the gains that were made through the bodywork sessions, Anthony started to practice the Egoscue Method as well as Functional Movement Systems. He was the first therapist in Montgomery, AL to be a full time Myofascial Release Therapist aiming at both pain management and human performance enhancement.
Anthony currently works at and owns Hand On Healing in Montgomery, AL. With the help of Jacob Laputka, Hands On Healing has been developed into the most advance clinic in the area. Deciding to take our combined knowledge and reputation to help other therapists, Anthony helped co-found Postural Bodyworks Institute. With his experience, high quality client care, and teaching experience he will be able to create a learning enviroment that will allow new therapist to excel in the field.
